New passion!

GUESS WHAT? I'm into a new hobby. tadaaa....My very own stretchable bracelet.

Made these in less than an hour. Becomes my new obssession as it is faster, cheaper and simpler. hehe...I know you might say that this is very simple but i 'm enjoying this - making wearable items. The best part is you can mix and match almost all the colours that you have and still amazed at your own creations. Can't believe i didn't do this earlier. Well, not bad for a novice, don't you think. Oh, and almost all the bracelets are now sold out. Need to restock and make new ones.

My pouch has arrived!!

as you can see in the pic above, my craft swap partner Mdm Zai made and sent this lovely pouch to me. Look at those vibrant colours! I just love it. What a wonderful idea. Thanks Mdm Zai!

Craft Swap challenge!

I participated in a craft swap organised by a group/ page in facebook site. It's the GMJ (Geng Mesin Jahit) or sewing machine gang or so if translated in English. The theme is something small like a pencil case, makeup pouch or wristlet. So I decided to try out a pattern  I bought long ago (which I had never found the time to do) but with small changes just to make my sewing experience as easy as can be. So here it is, a medium pouch. Fabric from FQ sets I bought from an FB friend as well. As this is my first ever pouch, I should be proud of myself. Not very neat, but not that bad too. Don't you think? Well, this is going for my craft swap partner which was chosen randomly. I hope she will be happy to receive this. It has been a great learning experience. Might want to make more of this. A fully quilted pouch maybe. Any ideas?
BTW, I'm eagerly waiting for my house pouch to arrive (made and sent by my craft swap partner too). Will blog about it soon.

The Emergency Bags!

It is the exam week at my kids' kindy. They told me teacher said no need to bring bags to school. so i gave them the small sling bags i made for them a few months ago on their first day. later that night, they told me that the kids at school laughed at their small bags as they were too small. so they don't want to bring those anymore. they want a slightly bigger bag. So in about 1-2hours i quickly did these two sling bags. So i called them the emergency bags as i made them in a hurry. So my kids woke up the next day with a surprise bag each.

Simple bag organizer

This is my first attempt at making a bag organizer. This idea was a result from a challenge by my Facebook group : sew-a-long bag organizer. So this is the result. Not the best but i'm just happy to have sewn one. I think it is great for my handbag which is, of course, very messy. I adapted the pattern to make the lunch bag and edited the steps and add in the pockets all around on the outside and the inside to fit all my things. Well, almost all the things, excluding the garbage and stuffs i'll accumulated by the week's end (or even months!) I love it! Thanks for the great challenge.
