New bag!

Made this bag for my friend. The margaret bag. But instead of button closure, I made a zipper closure. Love the fabric. Don't you?

The week's progress

Here are some of the items i've completed so far. From left: a knitted headband with a crocheted flower, a sling bag and a knitted bracelet with a crocheted flower. Didn't i mentioned 'knitted' twice? Yes!! I did. And I'm proud of my first two knitting projects. It is so much fun! I learnt to edit my photos using picasa too! So happy.

Getting the hooks going..

My love for crochet is growing day by day. Here are some of my crocheted stuffs these last two months. I think I'm addicted to crochet already.

I can say, it has been a great learning experience and hopefully I will continue to be better. I find crocheting is addictive. Now, everywhere I go, I bring my sets of hooks and yarns with me. Not forgetting my patterns for reference.  The best thing about crochet is I get to watch movies with my hubby and entertain my little ones while busy doing the crochet. Isn't that great? I'm now eyeing for  more challenging patterns. Hmmm....

Update on bag making..and a dress

It's been a while since I last posted anything here. So, won't narrate every single detail. Here are some of the stuffs I completed last month.

Nancy Tote

My first attempt at making a tote bag. Ordered by my sis-in-law.
I made two front pockets using a printed fabric to add colours to the tote as the overall tote is made from plain cloth only.
She wanted to have a partition in the middle ( a zippered one ) hmm...quite tough for me.

A zippered pocket at the back.

Managed to create the partition. What a task.

Now you see the partition?

One side of the inner part.

So, I learned to make a tote bag. I shall name this the Nancy tote (my sis-in-law's name).

The Multitasking Tote

This bag is for my younger sis. She wanted a bag from my recently bought book: The Bag Making Bible by Lisa Lam.  But this one is not exactly like that in the sense that I omitted the drawstring and made the front/back pocket into two parts.

I've made simple the inside pockets too.

Very Big owh...

My very first "Big Bag". I was quite surprised that it turned out so big.

But I learned a few lessons from making this.
1. how to do a bellow pockets
2. how to put on magnetic closure
3. how to make gathered pockets.

It was fun making this bag. I'll definitely do it again.
