Sew Along : Teardrop bag pattern by Amy Butler Week 1 update

I've decided to join a sew along project organised by a page in FB (1H1P- 1 hari 1 produk). A group which aims to inspire members to be productive, at least a product a day, almost impossible for me as I'm only sewing when i have a free time. Anyway, we decided to do all the patterns found in Amy Butler's styles stitches book. So here is the first project as voted by many. The teardrop bag. I've chosen my fabrics and cut out the pattern pieces.

Dresses and blouse

I've found new passion in sewing clothes that can be worn specially for my girls and nieces. Though not that skillful, but I've managed to sew a few. Here are some of my handmade dresses
Try my hand at shirring a simple dress for my niece for her birthday present.  Got this idea from my girl's dress.
.

Did a blouse for my mum which I traced from my old blouse.

My very first dress for my girl Lisa. Pattern from a book.

Joined a sew along and did this. Way to big for my little girl.

My biggest achievement so far, hehe...flower girl dresses for my sis wedding last february.

Repurpose projects

Old jeans pants to a skirt...

Old T-shirts to dresses

my daughter with her refashion t-shirt.

Feb and March projects

These  are some of the items I managed to complete or receive for the projects I've participated in recent months.
Craft swap project : The tote bag was made and given to me by 'Simply Lania'. Love this so much.

Sew Along : A little purse thingy by thimbleanna. For me this is the most challenging purse to sew. I've no patience for small items it seems.

A reversible tote made by me to a craft swap partner. Not the best but this is one of my first tote bags actually. Quite  impressive for a beginner i think. haha...I do love it. Now it is safely delivered to the new owner.

It's been a while...

December and January sewing:

was busy lately so I haven't had the time to update my blog. But here are some of the items I have sewn so far. Starting with the boxy pencil case, a medium pouch with handle (inspired by keykalou dumpling pouch design), the cherry pouch (big size), pencil cases for my niece and sister and the keykalou oh so famous dumpling pouch design. One I actually quilted just to practice doing it. Hmm...More update coming up. At the moment, I'm still soooo busy with work in the office. With my maid ran away end of last year, my sewing time is just limited. *sigh* What more updating and surfing the net.
