My first shoulder bag

My latest project this week is a shoulder bag. You can find the tutorial here by tiny happy. It looked easy and it was quite simple actually and fun to do this. Really like the tutorial.

This is the completed bag. I'm using heavy cotton.

I made the fabric covered button myself. I bought the tool kit from Daiso at 1Borneo. 

One inside pocket. It is quite spacious. I love it. Now i can go anywhere in style. :-)

Gathered clutch

This is what i've been learning this week. The gathered clutch. The first time I saw the tutorial here, I straight away make one. Just love the design. 

First try. Fabrics I bought from Etsy.

Some of the patterns featured in this book. hmm...have to figure out what those mean.

Will take time to understand these.

Bought this at Eaton's bookstore in Karamunsing complex, K. Kinabalu. Quite pricey at RM65. But it looks really interesting.

How to do smocking - not sure i'll able to follow this in the near future.

What's in the Mail today?

Very excited when i received these two mails.

tadaa...polka dots fabrics and felt packs from bubu craft; another one is my first japanese sewing book from Mybotang shoppe. I love them. Now have to think of what to do with them. :-)

Specially the book. How on earth am i to understand the details inside the book? All in Japanese. This will be a tough job for me. 

Pencil box trial 2

Tadaa...after the first attempt failed, I tried a different tutorial. But this time I only have to sew inside to make it like this. 

My very own pencil case. I just used the leftover fabric.

without lining. 

The length is just right to fit in pencils, pens or short rulers. 

You can get the tutorial here. I'm ready for mass production. haha...Love the tutorial. So easy to follow and understand. The photos really help. The only problem i have is putting the zipper head back to its rightful place. I almost gave up. After an hour rest, i resumed with the zipper and Voila! It turned out well.
